Hospitals must begin preparing doctors and nurses to work without protective gear, according to a new memo from the New York State Health Department.
The directive — dated Thursday and distributed to hospital administrators and nursing and medical directors — warns that "facilities and providers need to plan and prepare now for the unavailability of PPE," or personal protective gear.

Nurses, doctors and other frontline workers have been demanding adequate protective gear for weeks, with some using single-use N95 masks for five days or more.

HOSPITALS

With our partner network, we have sent deliveries of needed PPE supplies to Akron Children's Hospital, Miami Valley Hospital North, and MercyOne Hospital and want to expand our outreach.

FIRE STATIONS

We are able to source and provide the much-needed respirator masks for these first responders. With your support, we can increase the quantity of masks that we are able to provide, with the hope of increasing our reach to include other items of need, such as; hand sanitizer, cleaning disinfection wipes, exam gloves, and disposable gowns.
